Darrin Brinsden, Founder of new-clarity

Darrin is based in the Auckland Dojo, and is the founder and principal consultant of new-clarity.

New-clarity is a consulting company focusing on building smarter businesses. The name stems from Darrin’s focus on bringing clarity into business strategy and structure. New-clarity challenges you to think about what you’re doing, how you’re doing it, and why you’re doing it. It’s about stopping for a minute to evaluate your behaviour as a business, and seeing where there’s room for improvement.

New-clarity clients include Sky TV, Auckland University, and AMP in Australia.

Darrin’s background is in project management, and last year he was invited to speak at a PRINCE2 (PRojects IN Controlled Environments 2) event in Auckland. PRINCE2 is a project management methodology originally developed by the UK government. It’s basically about executing projects inside a carefully constructed and organized framework, to produce the best outcome through the most efficient process.

In 2013, Darrin will focus on a new model he’s developed called on-track, which brings a new perspective into evaluating and tracking organization health. On-track will be made available as an easy-to-use online service. Darrin has used The BizDojo as a test organization in developing some of his models.

Darrin keeps an industry blog at newdashclarity.tumblr.com, where he gathers his thoughts and insights from the field, so check it out!
