We’re getting amongst fairtrade fortnight at the moment, and we’re proud to see that Auckland has now become a fairtrade city. Fairtrade has a strong affinity with the BizDojo ethos - supporting entrepreneurs doing it for themselves, and a diverse marketplace of ideas and services.
Sam Drumm from the Fairtrade Auckland campaign (pictured with Nick Shewring above), spoke at our last Friday Lunchtime Preso. Our presos are run every 2nd week at the Auckland BizDojo, open to all and free to attend. BYO lunch and if you bat your eyelids in the right direction someone might even make you a coffee…
Our next fairtrade event is this week on Wednesday 16th - we’re hosting an Oxfam coffee break at both the Auckland and Wellington spaces. Come along for a cuppa, and if you’ve got baking in your bones, bring a plate to share using at least one fairtrade ingredient.
As well as a gold coin for the Oxfam box - we’re asking all of you to Donate Your Desktop to Oxfam. In exchange for some sponsored wallpapers on your computer, DYD will pass on 75% of the ad money to your chosen charity - now that’s kiwi ingenuity!
