Jobs.co.nz Re-Launch with a Focus on Social

Auckland BizDojo residents, jobs.co.nz, have shut down their job board and re-launched as a full service social recruitment agency.

CEO, Ben Irving, says it was a decision that reflects what employers and candidates want in the new world of recruitment.

“We are told time and time again by clients that they would like to reduce their investment in traditional job advertising such as job board and bulk listings. They are shifting to work more intentionally on developing their social channels to attract talent, and we will be there to support them.”

The new services include jobGraphics and jobAnimations, which allow brands to promote job openings via playful infographs and animations. These visual job listings are not only a refreshing way of advertising jobs, but also make for viral and sharable content for the brands’ Facebook page and other channels.

“We believe the quality of candidates found through social avenues will soon replace the outdated job board functionality and will eventually be a more effective recruitment method,” says CEO Ben Irving.

Infographs and viral videos are, however, only a part of the bigger picture. The main focus of the re-launch is on providing services to develop the clients’ entire online brand presence.

Business Development Manager, Mathew Bosher explains:

“We’re working with employers and recruiters to build and curate their recruitment brand presence, and developing strategies – supported by beautiful content like jobGraphic and jobAnimation.”
