MEA Mobile to Launch New Zealand’s First App School

In response to the dire shortage of skilled mobile app developers, MEA Mobile and Prima Learning are collaborating to put together New Zealand’s first ever App School.

MEA Mobile is owned by MacFarlane Engel Associates, a partner company to The BizDojo.

App School is a 9 week full-time course to learn the newest in-demand programming language, along with professional tricks and tips. Currently, the course covers the key skills required to create apps for iOS. Future courses will cover Android and other mobile platforms.

During the course, programmers get to learn from experienced professionals, create commercial apps, and interact with potential employers. The intense 9 weeks comprise morning lectures, demonstrations, and tutorials, which will be followed by hands-on, mentored project sessions in the afternoons. Experienced programmers will get the chance to explore topics in more depth independently during these sessions.
