Never content to be limited to one niche, the team behind BizDojo have opened a bar and live music venue! This last week saw the culmination of a year’s worth of work finally pay off with the official opening of Neck of the Woods at 155B K'Road.

We’ve had an amazing management team on board from the get-go, comprised of Josh Moore (ex-Rakinos) and Ruairi Hatrick (Cassette Nine), two industry veterans and top gents with over 20 years of combined experience. They helped bring to life the vision that we had of a bar that would be more than just a bar: a community hub, live music destination, and a contribution to the notoriously independent and unique spirit of the K'Road precinct. (Plus we really wanted our own local for Friday afternoons).
At a capacity of 350 and housing a Funktion One soundsystem, there’s no question that Neck of the Woods is filling a gap in the local Auckland market for music venues - and unsurprisingly already has a pipeline of both national international artists and DJs slated to play inside its soon-to-be-hallowed walls.
It’s been a labour of love on the part of not only Josh and Ruairi, but also BizDojo partners Phil, Nick, and Jonah, plus many of the BizDojo Auckland staff who have pitched in doing everything from painting to bartending as we pulled together for the long-awaited launch on Wednesday night. Flexing out the sound system for the first time were Racing, Esther Stephens and The Means, Louis Baker,Sorceress, Frank Booker, and Fred Willis. You can check out a few snaps here.
We’re really REALLY excited that our vision for the space has finally come to life… and we can’t wait to see Neck of the Woods come into its own.
Catch Session Victim (Berlin) with support from Frank Booker, Zayn Kemp, and Mick Antonievich there tonight!
