Who is BizDojo?
Our origin story goes back to 2009, the top song of the year was Boom Boom Pow by the Black Eyed Peas and the world was really into Susan Boyle. Meanwhile, our founders Nick Shewring & Jonah Merchant wondered "what if you curated the coworking community, so people could work together and learn from each other? And what if you could wrap around this the support you know growing businesses need?".
The BizDojo approach takes the basics of coworking like flexibility and a desk and chair in a shared space, and stacks extra goodness on top of it - all focussed around growing your business. Since then BizDojo has become New Zealand’s largest coworking provider, with locations in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. At our very core we pride ourselves on giving a real sh*t about supporting the growth of the companies and people across our spaces.

It’s our community that makes BizDojo the success that it is, and as Community Manager it’s your job to keep them happy! This means the BizDojo Wellington is your site to take the reigns and manage.
You’re a director of happiness and social butterfly all-in-one. You can flit from one resident to another, solving their problems and fulfilling their business needs along the way. You make magic happen by networking with great people, connecting them with relevant people, and facilitating synergetic relationships between them.
That's the brief of what we're looking for, but first, you need to know if you'll even like working with us. We think you will.
As Community Manager, you are the go-to human for our community. You know each and every one of our residents and you help them with whatever they need. Plus, you do it all with a choice attitude.
When you’re not busy making people’s day, you’re planning and executing programmes and events that captivate our residents and amplify the community experience. You’ll also supervise and work alongside the Community Team to ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day duties that keep our space in tip-top shape.
We’re a well-established, kick-a*s brand, and as we progress, it will be your job to broadcast our success stories to those in the wider business ecosystem and keep on buildin’ that brand presence.
You’re a social superstar when it comes to interacting with people from all walks of life, and you thrive in our relational environment.
“Yes!” is your word. You’ve got the confidence and enthusiasm to help our residents with whatever they need. There’s no challenge too big or small.
You’ve got the right kind of individual personality and initiative to think on your feet and make awesome things happen in a fast-paced environment.
You have no trouble with getting down n’ dirty with the physical, not-so-glamorous side of managing a space and running events.
You are hungry to acquire amazing humans into BizDojo and have the means to create a strategy to do this.
You are a whizz and logical with spreadsheets and can manage the finances with the best of them.
You may not have a degree in IT but you know more than your Dad does, and when you’re faced with a question you don’t know the answer to...you find one!
You’re driven to see and grab opportunities all with the goal of making our community thrive and grow.
