Building your own personalised 2017. Part 1

A satisfying year is hard to come by.  Indeed it's not something that is found but rather something we create.  But life doesn't come with an instruction manual so how do we go about proactively creating a great year.  Beyond accepting our own accountability for this process, the start of this journey begins with getting clear about what we want to create.

In this EOTO Mitch Olsen will share some ideas about how you can build a compelling vision for your year.  Amongst other things we'll cover

* the benefits of creating goals

* why we don't plan

* how to create a plan

* how to execute on your plan

Mitch's interest lies in the intersection of Digital technology and psychology.  He is CEO of Rehabit Labs which specialises in applying neuroscience and technology in order to help people change their behaviours.

BizDojo Summer Series: Speaker Tribes Info Session | Leading with Stories

Speakers Tribe is a community of speakers that are changing the world one message at a time.  We empower speakers to learn outstanding tips and tricks in mastering communication for influence and how to be confident, competent and charismatic as a speaker.   Our vision is to be a platform to ignite community, inspire learning and transform messages, and our mission is to empower speakers to become outstanding.

At our introduction workshop in February, we will be looking at  "Leading with Stories; Telling business stories that communicate a vision, sell an idea and inspire commitment".

Stories have the ability to engage an audience in a way that logic and bullet points alone never could. Whether you are trying to communicate a vision, sell an idea, or inspire commitment, storytelling is a powerful business tool. Great for leaders to develop their communication skills, and to engage with their people, it is a skill central to business growth.  Whether you are writing a speech or a memo, communicating to one person or a thousand, storytelling is an essential skill for success.

'Leading with Stories' teaches you to tap into the the genuine power of storytelling to increase effective communication, better relationships, and accelerate results.

Today that work is extended with a new partnership between OMGTech! and the Ministry of Education to pilot an initiative for OMGTech! to help teachers bring the best and latest in STEM and technology to children in support of when the digital technologies curriculum content starts to be rolled out in 2018.
